Date an Older Man

Step1
Spend time where the older men are. You probably won't meet the older man of your dreams at a dance club, so keep this in mind when you are on the prowl.
Step2
Explore online dating services, as well as introductions from friends, family and co-workers if you are comfortable sharing your potential interest in dating an older man.
Step3
Search for common interest and hobbies that you and your new beau share. The generational differences will be all too apparent, but finding common ground is what will allow the relationship to be successful.
Step4
Ignore comments, unkind looks and negative speculation from others. You are bound to run into people who will not take your interest in an older man or his interest in you at face value, but as long as you know that your intentions as well as his are inline than you have no reason to justify your relationship.
Step5
Respect that both your friends and family members and his may take a while to get used to this new relationship. Reserving PDA for when everyone is a bit more comfortable may ease tension, as well as working to keep conversations on a light and friendly tone at all times.
Step6
Discuss your age difference openly. There is nothing more damaging to a relationship that ignoring the obvious. If a concern arises about age, discuss it openly and then move on.
